| In
the 21st century, the military team known as the GI Joes was disbanded due
to a collapsing US Government. The team's former members started families
of their own and led normal lives, and soon were only faded memories in
the minds of only the oldest of Americans.
In the late 22nd century,
however, a freedom group was banded together to stop the out-of-control
Cobra organization which had easily risen to power in the absence of the
GI Joes. The freedom group donned the name of the freedom fighters that
had fought against Cobra generations before them, the forgotten heroes
known as the GI Joes. |
