High Speed was found half dead in a ruined city by the Wallace Clan. Claymore and Wishmaker mended his severe injuries while Lo-Jack was able to trace his Hovercraft ID number in several international databases. High Speed turned out to be a Cobra courier, but due to "unseen circumstances", he was not recovered by his employers after being injured; he was listed as "dead" in Cobra files. When High Speed recovered, he had no memory of his past. The only thing High Speed remembered was how to ride and repair hoverbikes. After salvaging parts to build another bike, he decided to stay with the GI Joe Revolutionaries. He soon gained the team's respect after a daring rescue of Claymore in battle. When on his bike, High Speed is deaf to the world around him.
