Fallen's reputation preceded him before he even joined the renegade GI Joe Revolutionary militia. Fallen was an internationally wanted criminal in the 2180s for acts of terrorism and crimes against humanity. Fallen had an underground reputation as an "angel of death"; his brutal tactics and efficiency in the battlefield made sure that he killed who he was hired to kill. The charge for crimes against humanity came about after his capture by Cobra Security in an intricately planned scheme meant to lure Fallen into their possession. Cobra reported that he was captured and executed, yet his existence proves otherwise.

Fallen's infamy previous to his capture traces back to his legendary yet shady past. It is believed that Fallen was actually a high-ranking feared Cobra warrior and tactician who was part of a military crew on the moon prison New Alcatraz, as the leader of the security assignment Cobra sent every five years. However, upon his return, Fallen had changed in several ways... in the inner depths of Cobra databases, names of warriors who transformed after visiting the moon base rank in the dozens, the most recent being Fallen. Unverified rumors tell that he killed the other Cobra soldiers detailed at the prison. Fallen came back to Earth only a year after going to New Alcatraz and severed his ties from Cobra. Afterwards, he joined the underground and made it his life for nearly a decade when he established his infamy before his capture.

Although Fallen does affirm his capture at the hands of Cobra, he tells his teammates very little about his incarceration or if he ever was an officer of Cobra. He has told, however, that he was tortured but managed to escape, after which he returned to the underground and hid for several years with the alias 'Scipio'. Fallen has also had a bomb installed into his heart, set to detonate the moment he dies.

Fallen is armed with a customized ARAGON x12 Electric Gatling gun. However, this weapon requires a constant energy feed from an electrical battery charge. When this charge is extinguished, Fallen uses his ARAGON Hellfire Burst Machinegun (ARAGON is a long-extinguished weapons company which was destroyed in 2150; however, the rare weapons are still state of the art and can only be found by the dealers deepest in the mercenary underground).

Fallen is the standard mercenary: he's seen too much death, but continues to kill. His talents tactically are phenomenal, despite the fact that he is a guerilla tactician. Each of his strategies seem perfectly synchronized, like a rhythmical symphony of death. The angel of death continues to take the souls of his enemies.
