She's not a "proto-villain" but a new character adopting the identity of a known one. She's definitely intended to be the replacement for the classic 90s nemesis of the same name in the IDW comic series. Her name is Mercy Gale, formerly a special agent of the Action Man Program. Frustrated with the reactive methodology of her organization, she chose a more proactive approach to saving the world: by assuming the role of Doctor X anonymously. She managed to do some good by doing a lot of bad. Eventually she gets found out and officially became "Europe's Greatest Super Villain" (pretty lame actually) and an enemy to both the Action Man Program and the United Kingdom. Anyway, seeing as this was the IDW version of Action Man, I wanted to give him a matching arch nemesis in the IDW version of Doctor X. Just fighting Cobra seemed... cliche.

This is how she looks in the comics.

My take using the different colours on various items to homage each colourist's different take on her.

She was built using Marauders Task Force (MTF from here on) Valkyrie "Athena" light skin tone with black hair; G.I. Joe Steel Brigade mask respirator part for the peggable gas mask accessory on her chest; MTF "Sierra Ops" torso and shin guards (painted green and silver respectively); MTF "Ghost Ops" Hips and legs; MTF Left Handed gray and black pistol holster; and brown trench coat made using coffee brown spandex fabric sealed together with fabric glue. Probably my favourite accessory of hers.

I did not know about these before but wish I knew about your neck fix before I ruined a head. I'll drop my tutorial there. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nice work, always enjoy seeing new characters.

What series is the artwork from?

Thanks a bunch and glad you like it! This particular artwork is from the IDW Revolutionaries series of comics. Revolutionaries finds several of our favourite toy brands banding together to battle evil in the world! Transformers, G.I. Joe and Action Man occasionally teaming up with MASK, Micronauts, Rom and more! It's a pretty neat series. If you want to learn more about Action Man and Doctor X in particular, you can also check out the IDW Action Man comics.

That coat is an amazing accessory.

Haven't seen a soft goods coat I wanted in a long time. Looks high quality. The figure's great, too.

As someone who has made softgoods clothing before, I'm really impressed with the overall fitand how clean it looks. Even Hasbro has trouble nailing both of those aspects.

Fantastic figure.

I wasn't even aware that Dr. X had been re-imagined. I think this one is better than the bald, mustachioed steroid muncher.

Don't know the character, but you crushed this and the coat is spectacular!
