Figured I'd pop in a quick couple of pics from my latest commission- lazy and undoctored "no logo" pics at that, which is a rarity for me!
Any way, its a main gate, with two towers and a catwalk. Pretty much all MDF and wood, with the exception if the mesh , ladder, and hinges - I'm a bit nuts and almost made those from wood too, but I have to reign myself in for practicality's sake once in a while!
Still trying to get a good weathered iron look- I don't hate the gates, but I don't love 'em either!
And before I get called on it, yes, that's an OG hiss with a ME driver squeezed into the cockpit- I'm an O- ring guy, and only have a small amount of modern stuff on hand just for photos- the idea of handling my 30 yr old figures every day doesn't appeal to me!

looks great! are you using "gutter" covering for your mesh? I had a piece that I used for fencing and some vehicle windows, I need to buy a roll of it! how about big staples/brads for ladder rungs?
some salt in your "rust" paint will give some texture on the steel. I can't tell if the doors are sealed with gloss, but that would help them look more like metal even if you do flat rust on top of the gloss.

Great work! I’d love to see your work before painting.

That is impressive. Do either of the towers have a control switch to open the gates. That is the only thing I can of that would add more play value.

It could well be gutter mesh, though I'm not certain- I grabbed it from a thrift shop because its the perfect thing for chainlink. hope so though, it'd be nice if it was something I could easily find!

Thanks, and no, actually they don't- at least on my end. I had proposed that very thing, but the buyer is a vehicle builder/ customizer, and he understandably wanted to handle that aspect himself.
