Already got a bunch of ideas for customs with that figure. Gonna need a bunch. My wallet is sad now.

I would love if MB would go the Lego route and have just generic playsets like that.
Me too. The Beyond concept-- whatever it is-- is great, and I'd definitely support it if it makes it to retail (in some form). Making it slightly futuristic is a great idea, and a good way for Mattel to "stay in their lane" while LEGO does its unstoppable juggernaut thing.
I'd like to see Mega Construx do some original, in-house themes, because, again, they can be the anti-LEGO. LEGO might be Coca-Cola, but to me, Mega Construx is
every other soda. I don't drink Coke, but I do drink a s___load of other flavors.
Brick sets have a built-in appeal, so they seem perfect for experimenting with non-licensed stuff. Pretty sure a lot of kids don't really care where a set is from, as long as it looks cool. I buy a lot of Mega Construx for my nephew, and buy whatever catches my eye. He loses his mind with excitement every time. Since he's 5, he has no idea what Call of Duty is, but he loves his Atlas Troopers.
