If they are going to do collector lines of Masters of the Universe [&] Hellboy, I would like to see some evidence of that. Even if it is like when they announced Ninja Turtles and just had a banner up.
All four of those lines have shown up in Kubros (but Kubros aren't really my thing) so I would like to see them show up as collector lines as well.
The physical evidence is Mega Bloks has developed & released a number of newer body styles throughout 2016 (and into the new year) after not updating their bodies for years (before the removable armor), as well as producing a variety of new accessories and clothes (like that new trenchcoat/lab coat)... that's a lot of investment in a year, especially when MB/Mattel was so cheap before.
They've got the MOTU and Hellboy licenses, so it would honestly shock me if we didn't get some sort of collector-specific line... What if it's a line of blind bag pop culture characters, ala the LEGO blind bags? The bags are so popular that it's not out of the range of possibility.
Star Trek, I don't know. If Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target aren't carrying them (like I never saw the Terminator line), it seems DOA without retail support. It's a shame, because Star Trek has great aliens, ships, and environments... lotsa great sci-fi toyline fodder, but Trek always seems to get the short end of the stick, when it comes to toys.
As far as dream licenses I'd like to see:
-Titanfall/Titanfall 2- Mini pilots & brick mechs? Yes, please!
-Indie comics- Hellboy, The Tick, Atomic Robo, etc.
Not gonna happen, but a guy can dream:
-Star Wars
-Marvel
-DC Comics
Since Mattel has DC, I could see them eventually producing DC Megabloks, especially if it's for the darker/grittier movie lines that wouldn't be as kid-friendly.
Getting Star Wars would be a coup, if MB could somehow snag it after the LEGO license is done. Hasbro seems to be out of the super-articulated 4" Star Wars game, and I could see MB fitting that role nicely... BUT LEGO's got that s___ on lock for a minute. Customs will have to do for the meantime.
