Given they "tested the waters" with showing the MOTU stuff at SDCC last year I'd say Toy Fair is when we'd see if that happens or not.

Not sure how the classic Trek stuff is doing. I bought almost all of mine on discount from Amazon over the holidays. Not sure if that's a sign that the line is struggling or what. How well that line did will be an indicator on any future Trek stuff, whether its 30th anniversary TNG stuff or something else.

Those and expansions on their existing lines are probably the only things I really want to see. More Halo stuff would be nice. Reissues of some of the older vehicles and the like.

Aliens is in Kubros?

I thought the Trek stuff was supposed to be hitting store shelves last Fall, but that obviously didn't happen; no doubt due to the lackluster performance of Beyond. I'm gonna have to kill me a Paramount Board of Executives if their incompetence causes me to not get TNG MBs.

All four of those lines have shown up in Kubros (but Kubros aren't really my thing) so I would like to see them show up as collector lines as well.

The physical evidence is Mega Bloks has developed & released a number of newer body styles throughout 2016 (and into the new year) after not updating their bodies for years (before the removable armor), as well as producing a variety of new accessories and clothes (like that new trenchcoat/lab coat)... that's a lot of investment in a year, especially when MB/Mattel was so cheap before.

They've got the MOTU and Hellboy licenses, so it would honestly shock me if we didn't get some sort of collector-specific line... What if it's a line of blind bag pop culture characters, ala the LEGO blind bags? The bags are so popular that it's not out of the range of possibility.

Star Trek, I don't know. If Toys R Us, Walmart, and Target aren't carrying them (like I never saw the Terminator line), it seems DOA without retail support. It's a shame, because Star Trek has great aliens, ships, and environments... lotsa great sci-fi toyline fodder, but Trek always seems to get the short end of the stick, when it comes to toys.

As far as dream licenses I'd like to see:

-Titanfall/Titanfall 2- Mini pilots & brick mechs? Yes, please!

-Indie comics- Hellboy, The Tick, Atomic Robo, etc.

Not gonna happen, but a guy can dream:

-Star Wars
-Marvel
-DC Comics

Since Mattel has DC, I could see them eventually producing DC Megabloks, especially if it's for the darker/grittier movie lines that wouldn't be as kid-friendly.

Getting Star Wars would be a coup, if MB could somehow snag it after the LEGO license is done. Hasbro seems to be out of the super-articulated 4" Star Wars game, and I could see MB fitting that role nicely... BUT LEGO's got that s___ on lock for a minute. Customs will have to do for the meantime.

That's why Whiplash has been my only MOTU custom so far. I'm really hoping for some official releases. If not, the TMNT line is giving me some fodder, at least to make them down the road.

I'm not very invested in any franchise currently so every potential IP Mattel / Mega produces figures for will be judged based upon custom fodder value.
With that said :

Masters of the Universe - because i want WWE Mega Bloks and the likely hood of that happening seems low. The next best thing is MOTU bodies that i can convert.

Conan - See above

Star Trek: The Next Generation - nostalgia

Power Rangers MMPR - the closest we'll get to blank monocolored bodies needed for superheroes

Comic Book Heroes - Because that would make other hero customs easier.

NFL - and i say this as someone who hasn't watched football in years. Mega bloks figures were made to be mini NFL figures.

BTW The HALO line will have a fully articulated Covenant Hunter Killer 8-O soon. IT looks DAMN good as fodder and a general big baddie.
I've grown to really appreciate the HALO line

Motu would be lots of fun, would buy a bunch. I've seen the Star Trek lines at book stores on occasion but not getting them in regular stores hurt them pretty bad, no one will buy what they don't know exists. I picked up a bunch of the Terminator packs when they were on ebay for $8 shipped. Have no interest in Hellboy, doesn't seem like enough characters to make a full line out of. Still say Dino Riders is the perfect line for Mega.

To be fair, Mattel has only owned MB for a year-ish now, so one can't expect them to have invested a whole lot into new bucks as much before that.

The Terminator line was dumped on Amazon as no b&m stores wanted them after the lackluster performance of Genysis; another reason I'm fearful for Trek.

...you folks are making me want to pick up a Star Trek set. I missed out on the Terminator T-800's at low prices. I don't want to miss out on those red shirts ...

I would say the Star Trek sets are worth getting. If nothing else they gave me some good heads to use for my Micronauts remakes so they aren't all bald.
Getting two Uhuras with the bridge set was nice. One for the set and another for fodder.
They are also fun to pull out when my gaming group plays Star Trek Panic.

Given the muscular body parts Mega has been putting out through the Classic Ninja Turtles line, I would a agree that a MotU line does seem possible but it seems like something about it would have leaked by now if it was going to happen. That line would be a great source of fodder if it came out.

I doubt Hellboy and the B.P.R.D could support a big line (despite rumors of a third movie in the works) but included in a mixed line (depending on the license cost) would be great. If they did a mixed line I would prefer to see it like the Halo Heroes carded single figures instead of "blind bags" (since now Mega prints the code numbers in big easy to read type on the bags).

Don't read too much into that. The classic basic MMPR stuff that's out now is under the Mega Construx brand name. Its probably for that.

Was checking Amazon for "out of stock" Mega Constux, which is a way to discover upcoming sets. Looks like they're making Call of Duty "Heroes" like the Halo figures. Links below.
