Packaging is generally just garbage-in-waiting to me, but this project is extra-special to me so I'll be keeping the whole cards from this stuff. Maybe not future waves, but definitely for this one.

There's a third packaging update today. I'd copy/paste it but I can 'grab' the info on this tablet out of the email for some reason. But the filecards are much more legible this time, and one of the Temporal Logs has a phrase something like, "in our efforts to repair the timeline". MUCH COOLNESS, adding in an overarching storyline to the entire toyline, and not leaving each Theme be separate and independent. There's a whole 'nother story in that one small word 'our', too.

Are all of the figures packaged? Because I really don't care about packaging and hate that it drives the price up.

All the Characters will be. The blanks and Skeletons will be bagged.

And yet, somehow these entirely new-molded figures in packaging will still be cheaper than Club Joes that have at most a new-molded head.

Thanks for the info. Not a bad decision on their part, as I'm sure many people will buy a second figure to keep on card.

Looking at the single-figure card art, I can see two different backgrounds; each coming in a variety of colorways. They're both generally of a celestial body looming over the world the character is standing on (which I think we can assume is Earth). One of the backgrounds shows a just-starting or -ending eclipse with a flash of light coming over the foreign celestial body's edge, and the other shows a meteor storm with an impact in the distance. I'm wondering how literally we're meant to take these images as part of the overall cross-time catastrophe setting. It's impossible to say how big the foreign body is, but it's apparently close enough that it must be wreaking havoc on Earth due to gravitational tides; which is no doubt the source of the meteors. The scenery is lit enough that I'm wondering whether the star being eclipsed is our Sun or perhaps another star with the Sun behind us viewers. Adding another star into the Solar system would most assuredly cause some seriously crazy crap to go down. Is the foreign body a planet or moon from elsewhere in our system, or from an entirely other star system along with its star?

So stoked.

So pre-curse Medusa(legs, calm face) is a special figure I recall? Box set or chase AV?

PC Medusa is exclusive to the KS and the eventual BFS webstore. That's why she's getting a box and not a singlecard.

Another card art reveal: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/81 ... ts/1356905

Of greatest interest to me, aside from the backstory details found in the filecards, are the baggie cards for the Skeleton and Accessory sets:

I see from the card art that the Athenian warriors have Gorgon shields. I would have given them the classic owl shields. I'd imagine the gorgons laughing at the shields with a 'do I look like that sisters???'

Just finished reading the Queen of Death book from the Eberron Lost Mark trilogy. There were tons of passages of skeletons performing not only soldiering, but menial servant tasks like feeding and medical. Got me stoked even more about wanting to show that.

You know, I'd even take the pre-painted fare. They're just that awesome.

Dave Proctor did a Q&A session on the KS Comments section ending just about an hour ago that I brainfarted and forgot to jump in. I doubt I would've had a unique question, tho. This response seems key:

As of my conversation this morning, most of the test shot comments have been addressed. We have not seen these new samples yet, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were still one or two lingering issues to comment on, but from the sound of it, they would be very minor. A package will be shipped to us on Nov 5th, containing those new samples and possibly some painted samples as well. No production will begin until our upcoming on site mega meeting. Thats the earliest items could be given the green light, if they pass muster. Look for some significant updates to follow that meeting.
