There needed to be a question about whether or not a 1/6 scale Millennium Falcon will ever happen.

Frankly, I'd say the 40th Anniversary celebration was so much more so than they ever really needed to do, you could still be collecting it 10 years later. There's just a TON of product they put out there.

Really, what would they do now with 12"? Release a vehicle? Maybe in '97, but not in today's environment. That said I do love the Green Beret in the club's set, but probably will be outside my range.

I agree. I just don't see a 12" 50th anniversary line aimed at brick and mortar stores working, but that's just my opinion and we all have those. But at the same time, I'm not sure if this 4 inch stuff should be labeled 50th, we just had the 30th after all, it's a little odd feeling. Don't get me wrong, I really like what I am seeing and will buy everything offered in the 50th line, probably in multiples, but I see nothing to remind me of the original Joe in this line.

That 2014 Joe Con Joe Colton 4 inch figure may have done well in a "then and now" 2 pack with the concept case Flint to at least throw a nod to the original. Or even better, a few OreoBuilder 50th project type 4 inch figures in a few then and now packs with several characters involved.

I wouldn't be surprised that the blowtorch, baroness and lowlight actually have different color schemes when we see the official figures at joecon. If they show them there.

I hope so. I REALLY want to see Blowtorch done in military colors. HEAT Viper provides the eye catching color in the package.
Baroness in that brighter VvsV blue scheme might look good (also, kind of hope they use the SDCC head)

TRU tends to be pretty good with their exclusives, so I don't anticipate having too much of a problem with these.

hopefully the vault gung ho will be available too at toys r us

Oh please yes!

Hmm, could the Vault Ninjas and Zombies be the online retailer exclusive multipacks?
This years offering seems a tad light.

...yeah I know its a long shot, but there's some precedent

I'm sure we will see some vault zombies in the Joecon set.
That vault Snow Serpent would have been a better choice instead of the arctic BAT.
So which vault figures are still missing?
We can cross off the Renegades ones as never happening.

There was that cool looking EEL that came with a Night Landing raft, had the neat looking diving helmet. The two they're showing here look like the 25th versions (I could be wrong)

The two shown here look to be a combination of the legs from the Retaliation Wave 2 Snake-Eyes, the chest and (maybe) upper arms from RoC Breaker, and the lower arms from the 25th Eel. That awesome-looking one shown with the Retaliation press images was a repaint of the Retaliation Ultimate Snake-Eyes figure with the gear from a cancelled RoC diver Ripcord figure, and I agree that it's a bummer that we won't be getting that one; it was a great-looking figure with some cool accessories. Still, I'll be glad to get the Night Landing again; I love that thing.

There was an updated 30th style Eel in the concept case. I'm hoping that we get a torpedo withe thatawesome dive gear.

As a collector of all things G.I.Joe, I REALLY wish they had showed something 12" for the Anniversary of 12" G.I.Joe. To completely ignore G.I.Joe beyond the 80's is unbelievable. It's like an Iwo Jima commemorative coin with Vietnam era Marines on it. Very stupid of Hasbro and quite insulting to many collectors.

They say figures wouldn't sell, but they would!! The 12" figures they have out now are absolute garbage. Even Mattel makes better 12" boys action figures! And the 12" figures Hasbro put out a couple years ago were junk. Make more 60's reproductions! Figure in a box. That's it!
Some say most guys out there only know the little Joes. Well it's time they were introduced to the ORIGINAL G.I.Joe, the one that started it all. The reason we have Duke, Snake Eyes, Zartan, Cobra Commander, etc, etc, etc, is because in 1964 a toy line was launched that changed the toy business.

As for the 50th figures being Toys R Us exclusives, that's not a big deal. TRU was basically the ONLY place carrying them anyway! And get ready to pay through the nose. Singles were at $9.99, so 2-packs, being exclusives AND commemorative, $24.99? And 3-packs, $34.99+?

Because of their incompetence with replacing the toy line with the movie line, Hasbro has made G.I.Joe a "movie toy" without a movie.

Look at Lego; did they cancel their entire line to just make movie sets? HECK no!! When Hasbro canceled everything to focus on movie merchandise, they put all their eggs in one basket...and it didn't work.

In closing, Hasbro is stupid, the products mostly half-hearted lazy re-releases that we may or may not be able to find.

and I cant stand any of the movie figues. I feel like I waited 20 years to have joes I wanted again when the 25th line came, next thing I knew it seemed like it was over and back to stuf I didn't want.
