They're hardly the only ones as such. I think the most bizarre online mail-order screw-up I ever encountered was from FAO Schwarz, before they were bought by TRU or whatever happened there.

This was mid-to-late 90's, when Hasbro was producing 12" Star Wars figures. And the toughest of the lot to find was the furry Chewbacca. FAO had him, so I ordered him.

What did I get? A pair of ruby slippers, like from "Wizard of Oz". This despite the fact that the receipt clearly read "Chewbacca".

I returned the shoes, and got the Wookiee, but sheesh!

Easy enough mistake. Everyone knows ruby slippers are made of Wookie pelts. That's what their skin looks like under the fur.

Sounds more like a Wookiee with a serious skin condition.
