Does anyone know if the modern era Joes fit well into the old JP vehicles (the SUV, Jeeps, Mobile Command Center, etc.) I believe the JP figures of that time were 5" and since modern Joes are 4" I was wondering if they fit ok.

Jurassic Park III's line was 3¾", so it'd be compatible.

But Jurassic Park 1 and 2 were 5 inch lines....or more like 4 1/2 inches I think.
I think the vehicles are probably pretty close.

I had a couple of JP2(?) vehicles that I got in an eBay lot. Not sure if I still have them or if I gave them to the neighbor kids - I'll dig around and see if they're in with my Chap Mei vehicle fodder.

I remember o-ring Joes sort of fit so I figured modern ones would even better. I don't recall any vehicles in the 3 3/4 inch JPIII line.

There was a motorcycle, an off-road Hummer-style vehicle and a copter, along with a raptor enclosure playset.
