If I ever see that silver one, I just might get it for a "giant mecha" Metallo custom.

I picked up 2 of these. I thought they would be neat for something:

The silver robot looking guy is named Metanoid. The only thing I don't like is the stumpy legs. He looks like a kid wearing a costume almost, but his height it head to head with a G.I.Joe. I'll be adding some length to the legs to make him look more proportionate and bigger.

The other guy is Chemaster. He looks like some sort of demon or alien, and that's what hooked me. If they were cheaper I could see 3 or 4 of these guys attacking from underground. That was about the only ones I liked though.

I picked up the Metanoid this weekend. I personally like him, and pending a robotskull head from Hunter Artworks I'll be making a "giant mech" version of Metallo for my DCIH collection. Just need to find a tube of transluscent green plastic to turn the ungodly bright flashlight into a glowing Kryptonite heart.

I figure unless the game catches on with kids, these'll get marked down. I don't know what the background is on the game but other than Bakugan I haven't really seen kids jump on board a card game with action figures.

I should also point out, the Metanoid's LED is actually a projector.

There's a little slot in the back that holds a little sheet of clear plastic with an "attack" printed on it, and it can project it against a wall (or, I'm guessing, the player's opponent's toy?). It's kinda neat, in a Battle Corps Ghoststriker kind of way.

There's also a roughly 8 in version of Metanoid. Only in gold. Might be cool for giant robot fodder. Looks to have the same articulation as the small one at a minimum.

Saw the birdman the other day.
Looks pretty cool.

I picked up some new ones at lunch just now, Silverbaxx and Warnet. Baxx is apparently a gorilla, he *really* reminds me of FF villain Blastaar, whom this li'l guy may end up being son to. He's got Action Attack shoulders, unfortunately. He tosses a purple rock, fwiw. He's got the usual ball joints at shoulders, elbows, and knees, with pop'em balls at neck and hips. His hands are molded into fists he can pose knuckle-walking with.

Warnet is a Hornet Man and thankfully has no AA crapola. He's got a pair of paired pop-in bug wings (4 wings total, 2 pieces total) and some funky 'arrowhead spike' things for face-bashin'. He's got the same artic format as 'Baxx, and it all works well on both.

This line is a customizer's best friend this year. The figs are *great* for li'l mini projects here and there, imho.

Are there pics of that second series? I still just see the first, which has only thus far been useful to make my friend's character Warhead.

I picked up Magnoz, a purple robot with a wind tunnel attack accessory. He's my least fave of the three new ones I've gotten, altho he's still worth having as bashin' project fodder like I view this whole line. His wind tunnel accessory blocked my view of his legs in package, so I didn't know he had no leg artic below the pop'em hips, which is his big ding. Lesser dings are his neck ball having little realistic movement, similar to the MU Thing and first Hulk figs, his head basically spins around vertically. He's got big chunky arms, with balls at shoulder and elbow, but when I raised the arms out to the side, the shoulder pads cracked along the mid-line seam. That's actually an asset to me as it gives me a free way in when I need to crack him for bashin', but FYI in case you plan to get him and keep him as is.

I'll get pics up of all three tomorrow.

Here's those pics I promised, including another fig I'd gotten about a month ago, the spider guy Arachnoz or something.

The wind tunnel accessory Magnoz comes with is *almost* high enough that it could be used with a Red Tornado or WhirlWind custom, but you'd have to cut the figs off at mid-thigh to bring them up tall enough to be equal with everyone else, which is itself no real help since both them guys generally levitate higher than their base height.

Hey, those are pretty cool.
The bug guy looks like Hellgrammite on steroids!
