Anybody know how long they should be good for?

I've got a bunch of paints.... that I haven't used since 2012..ish.... :-/

I'd just rather not have to go out and buy more paints if I don't have to.... even IF it'll earn me more Hobbytown points to go towards my Gunpla addiction.

if they are still liquid and not separated, paint on!

I use my wifes old apple barrel paints all the time when I need a unique color. I bet some of them are way older than 2012. I pick up a bottle and shake to hear if it is solid or liquid (you can always thin it down if it is liquid).

Agreed. I have some that are over 15 years old!

So if they seperate, their crap? You can't just stir them back up?

Also.... what would be the best way to get Acrylic paint off of a pair of arms that where painted round-abouts 2012?

I think the paint should be okay as long as it isn't dry.

As for only paint, soak the parts in alcohol (I use 91%) then scrub with a toothbrush. Repeat until the paint is removed.

Well, just got done going through most of my Acrylics. Mostly the stuff upstairs in the Flambeu boxes... bud I did scavenge down in the basement.

Good news, most of it was still wet. :D

Bad news, some of the 'good' jars I couldn't get open even with the pliars. X(

Worse news, some of them had the consistency of play-doh. XD

Seriously, one I just screwed open and pulled the doughy contents right out. I got those jars sitting with water in them, maybe use for mixing. If I, y'know, mix again.

So yeah... got a shopping list, and some unidentified bottles I'll have to... identify at Hobbytown.

Seriously, I unscrewed one, and ended up pulling a big Acrylic Booger right out of the Jar XD

Should have taken a picture.

That happens to me too. I just remove the booger, clean the cap and surrounding area, add a bit of water to the bottle and shake it well. I can usually save what's left of the paint in the bottle after that.

Except this booger was the entire contents of the jar.

I assume the Toothbrush is supposed to be a heavy grade.... considering the soft grade I just used didn't do squat.

Though my fingernail was thoroughly effective.

Nope, regular tooth brush. Any chance you clear coated the part? Alcohol has worked for me, but Goo Gone could possibly work too.

I never clear coat. Though I was using a 70% grade rubbing Alcohol.

Might be a moot point at this juncture, arms might not even work....

I've saved dried paint with a little bit of windex before.
