Does anybody have this thing? I just seen it in a link and never knew this existed. It would be cool to have scans of the cardboard pieces...

I'd be interested in blown up pics of the soldiers and vehicle drivers.

EDIT

Check YoJoe. I believe they have the train too.

That would be cool. As long as the parts aren't too damaged, they can be repaired in Photoshop. I'm not sure what can be made from them, but if I have the files to look over there might be some sort of playset that can be created.

i don't have anything near good enough to make into a playset -- nor do i have the playmat -

i bought it to try to integrate some of it with my 'regular' US-1 trucking set(s)

I would like to reiterate I'm interested in close up pics of the various soldiers from the box art.

They look interesting enough that they could be added to the selection of avatars on here.

I had one when I was a kid... it was great fun... only problem is that it isn't Joe scale.

A project I've always wanted to tackle would be to make one of these sets Joe scaled... but I have no idea where to get a 1/18 scale train set.

I've got 1 3/4 of these sets. One set is complete the other has about half of the cardboard pieces unpunched, but they are all bent to "LASER BLAST". I can try to dig them out to get scans, but It probably wont be until after the con. Hit me up and remind me after that and I'll try to find them in the man time.

FYI, there is a variation on the Joe trucks. Regular and cab-over.

They should be the same as the ones that came with the Tyco train set if I remember right.

Does that mean different artwork on the box?

No, artwork is always the Regular Cab.

I've actually been working on a 1:18 scale one for about a year now, but it's been mostly drawings and no real construction yet.

Cool, I'll remind you. Once I get the bent areas cleaned up and fixed, I'll see what could be done with it. I'll make you a fixed set out of plastic for scanning them for me. I don't know what can be made out of it to G.I.Joe scale, but I figure something can.
