I find his sculpting so good, so thin, and so smooth, I figured he must have access to some secret sculpting compound that I just don't have access to. I reached out to him on Facebook to see if he'd share his secret:

Mr Mack,
If you don't mind sharing, what type of sculpt material are you using?
Thanks!
Hey Jm, it's Aves apoxie sculpt, you can find it on amazon.Jm wrote:
sweet. follow up question: how are you able to get it so thin? and so smooth? any tips you could share?
Rub small portions of clay and mix it with baby oil gel.Jm wrote:
Interesting! You don't find the baby oil gel messes with your ability to prime or paint the figure afterwards?
Nope, simply clean the figure with soap and water and you're good to go.Jm wrote:
I noticed that you're working with some casters for some of your figures - I just picked up your SpiderGwen and LadyThor heads, any chance that you're having your torsos or other parts cast somewhere?
Plastic-Curves.com is who I work with. As far as torso/body parts - none yet.Jm wrote:
would you mind if I shared your Aves + baby oil gel tip on JoeCustoms? I'd really like to do that with a link to your WIP gallery -- it's really inspiring!
Oh yeah, that's not a problem!Great artist, great tip! You have to see it to believe it, and that still might not do it ... he's one extremely talented guy, from sculpting all the way through finish. And his photos are astounding.
