I know the scale varies by toob, and sometimes even within each one. But does anyone have any experience on whether the musical instruments toob is near 1/18 scale at all?

Sadly no. They don't look entirely in scale with each other, but I've seen them in person... definitely too big. Looks like they'd work with my Muppets figures though.

Particular instruments in mind?

no, I usually just make my own, or swipe from Playmobil when those are on sale. Was just thinking it would be cool to nab a set of stuff to stash for future use whenever need arises.

I just bought a few other tubes where the stuff will be decorative and not scale specific when I came across those - online, so no real way to speculate as to scale

I haven't seen the instruments set but man I always have to stop myself with the various historical themed ones that could be used for some kind of museum dio. I think I have like four various sets in one if my hidden Amazon wishlists.

They sell them at Michael's & Hobby Lobby if you need to see them in-hand. The animals are often perfect for bashing onto MegaDudes for all your anthro-critter needs.

yeah, I look from time to time, and have never found one I HAD to have.

But as ke7bo1 just mentioned, they have some awesome ones for a Museum dio setting. And I'd wager three of the ones I just bought ($10.19 each with free shipping on Amazon) are ones he is talking about. The size really doesn't matter (ahem) for those kinds of props.

However, if I somehow lucked into the set of presidents busts being 1:18 scale, then that would be the score of the year. (Feel free to burst my bubble - I pretty much know they will be too big and will really be just busts only for me)

The only musical instrument that can indeed work with our figures is the folk guitar, which I used to fashion Lance Sputnik's guitar case (on its loooong over due way). Given that his custom supplied was a touch shorter than the usual 4" figures, it looked more like a base folk guitar in hands, but was still quite believable.

The other instruments in the Toob I gave to the Mrs. to make that great scene from Monster High movies where the girls are in band. The instruments other than the guitar are PERFECT for 1:6 scale.

Uh.... yoink! Even if the president heads don't work, I've been wanting to make Cobra CommanCommander busts, seems like a good start!

For a CC bust, why not just use a CC torso/head on one of those cake pillars?

Isn't 1/12 about 6" figure scale?

That'd work too, not a bad idea. Might combine the two and use the cake pillar for the pedestal.

Yah, the guitar listing says it's 3.5" tall. That's a BMF guitar, yo.
