Miniature Tim spent some time looking around the web and gathered up a huge stockpile -- rather than just copy/paste it here, I thought I'd link to his page to at least give him some views for all his hard work -

If you do find something particularly awesome there, or know of any more such resources, come back here to discuss!

Not a bad selection of articles and tutorials. I see he prefers the gravity feed airbrush, where I myself prefer the bottle feed because my microtremmors in the hands would make a mess with gravity feed.

Never used an airbrush for miniatures save priming though. For something 25mm, I am using an 18/0 brush and magnifier.

I use it for preparing glyphs and tattoos on my fantasy customs. Like these two Umbragen Drow girls from Xen'drik:

I take painters blue masking tape and lay strips on a china plate. After drawing the glyphs on the tape, I take an Xacto and cut out the patterns and lay the tape on the figure. Sometimes, I come across great punchers in the $1 bin at Michael's, like a stylized Cupid's bow. This I punched out the design and used it to lay upon their faces, making it appear as a tribal glyph.
