Ok, after learning to use a caliper and visiting 2 model train shops, I've figured out the tool for modifying other guns to take marauder accessories.

The circular connectors that come out of the accessories are exactly 1 mm in circumfrance. (Sorry americans, hopefully you can find a metric caliper somewhere.) You need a drill bit that is .9 MM for a reasonably tight (no wiggle room or possibility of slippage) fit.

Since you don't want to slip this thing into a dremmel (not enough control, unless you're the dremmel rembrant), and most regular tools won't accept such a small bit size, remove the blade from an xacto and slide the drill bit into it.

About 10 turns in pretty much any gun yeilds a hole that is perfect for putting the round peg accessories in. No glue required, and the parts are still removable.

The number on the container (they use numbers rather than sizes) was 71. I have no way of knowing if that's the same across brands, so use a caliper to be sure before buying.

Looks like my nest order into Marauder is going to be for a whole lot of little pieces. I'm glad you can order the smaller parts wihtout ordering the whole M4.

The modular parts can be used in a variety of different ways adide from their original intended plan.

I actually plan on getting about 2 dozen of the small sight from the M4 to be used as helmet mounted cameras/lights for a bunch of upcoming customs. One very small bit snipped off and they are perfect for it!

Pop for $2 for the drill bit, and you can drill the little hole on the head and stick the part in without messing with glue.

I was actually thinking about doing that for the helmet mic...

I'm guessing that means the chuck on your pin vice wasn't reversable?

Thanks for the tip on the bit size - I've got a FAMAS on order and the night vision scope to work it into a FELIN system.

It was not, though I didn't post again about it because that sort of strong langauge doesn't convey meaning well through the swear filter - My name kept coming up far too frequently...

I had to pick up the .9mm that I use at a hobby shop anyway, the 1/16 was just too big.

The rubber grip on the xacto is perfect for it though, giving me the perfect amount of control and torque.

The only two issues are actually holding the gun steady and centering the hole while I'm drilling.

While niether of these will be issues for moto (give him a small enough brush and the freakin guy can paint a dozen angels on the head of a pin...) I'm going to have to rig up some sort of guide/vice combo.

Will an M203 grenade launcher fit an MP5? I thought it was an interesting combination in "End of Days"...

Don't know about MJ's M203 and his MP5 but here's the one I did with the BBI ones. Might give you some ideas anyways.
