well, I'm having trouble selecting a head for the Atomic Man I'm making. I've looked at Tomax, Backstop, etc, but nothing I'm happy with. Any suggestions?

Why not just casty-shrink it...you could even look into having it done in a transparent resin so after painting you'll keep the "atomic eye"

Tracker was my thought too. You might also be able to get away with Altitude, depending on how old you were planning on making him look. Spearhead and Lightfoot also have hairstyles similar to Mike's.

I would Use a Battle Corps Dial Tone and shave the facial hair off. He has the same part in his hair I think.

I have one.

If someone wants to shrink it, I'd be willing to loan it out.

Mostly because I want one :)

What parts are you currently using? I had an idea for using the "hologram" comic pack Cobra Commander, then planned on using a bald head with some life like hair.

Me too and I'll pay for the casting if JFAK will do it.

What are you going to use for the arm and leg?? Not that I'm trying to steal an idea or anything

Aside from JFAK I'm also getting in to shrinking, and I've been doning 1:6 Heads exclusivly. I'll has some samples of my John Wayne head at the con if you'd like to look at the quality, or I can post some pictures sooner if you'd like.

It's not my idea...but I would think either the MC inviso Zartan or the TRU Artic Mirage would be prime choices...Both are already clear and could be reasonably "mehanical".

Personaly I'd love to see the TRU Mirage melded with the shorts from a Saggat or Dalsim...if not just having parts cast up in clear resin...I just don't know how true to the vintage they're trying to be.

Edit: I've got a Bullet Man head and Helmet that I would love to see added to the Casty Shrink list...JFAK or Dream...let me know whacha thinkin and I'll get in on the band wagon.

micronaut time traveler
Image

Right Arm: Chuckles modified with clear micronaut arm
Left Arm: Chuckles
Right leg: modified Dhalism
Left leg: modified Dhalism and the clear micronaut leg

Not sure on the torso yet. Maybe Action Marine or Chuckles. All depends on what looks good with the rest of the parts.

If there is a market I'm up for giving anything a try. But I'm not sure how the helmet will come out. But it's worth a shot right.
