I would like to reiterate I'm interested in close up pics of the various soldiers from the box art.

They look interesting enough that they could be added to the selection of avatars on here.

I just posted a bunch of close ups from the train set:

Anyone have a trucking set they can sell or loan me to document similarly?

Thanks!

Go look in the avatars section -- they've been there for a couple years now -

EDIT

Check YoJoe. I believe they have the train too.

They are just the generic 1/72 scale figures and vehicles from Tyco in the 80s. Every truck/train set, Joe, ATeam, Generic Military, MASH all had the same figures.

FYI, there is a variation on the Joe trucks. Regular and cab-over.

"Regular..." Car drivers....

The term is "Conventional"

Sheesta!

(Well, at least you got "cab over" correct, usually I hear, "flat faced.")

If it hasn't been mentioned, as for trains, I think the Playmobile is fairly close. I have a couple toy trucks from my childhood that were made by Nylint. Couldn't get figures in the cab, but that just takes some modification.
