Can the arms be boiled and popped, or do you need to crack open the torso?

i'm pretty sure i was told you have to crack the torso open. i was asking about the suit wearing figures specifically, but i think all of them need to be.

The other option to cracking the torso is to cut the pin on the shoulder

you talking the piece that goes into the torso, or the shoulder (basically leaving a ring) i don't think it is a through pin or you could heat and push it out .
i suppose i could go dig out one to see

for me i wanted to switch back and forth from black suit jacket to white shirt with sort sleeves . i had no idea the jackets didn't come off and on like other suited figures, so that stopped me dead.
