I was at Michael's Sunday and saw various sizes of foam dowel in the clearance section. I believe these are used for cosplay costumes?

I had never heard of foam dowel before, although I probably have seen it without recognizing it in the cosplay section of Joanne's.

There were two sizes of square end and two sizes of triangle end. The box showed 2 sizes of half moon shape, but I didn't see any.

Anyway, I thought the triangle ones could be used for concrete parking spot/wheel stop/tire bumper. Use a Dremel to scuff them up a bit to show wear and tear.

Two foot segments, square and triangle drop when held at end. Round is more rigid. I think the smaller round is used for rolled collars or tubing style designs with fabrics around it.

it probably won't paint well. i played hell recently with some semi soft foam i reused from box packaging. i used baking soda, white glue, and paint to cover it. in light use it started showing areas of foam. i recovered it this time with a lot more glue and it seems sturdier, but i wish i would of just used rigid foam.
