Two questions:

On the RHINO, I'm gutting the launching mechanism for the helicopter, and have the whole thing taken apart. The inside has a lot of grease, and on the first one I got it was actually on the outside as well. Anyone else run into problems with "rhino gunk", and have any suggestions for getting rid of it? I've got a couple of grease removers, but it seems like there's always more.

On the ROCC, I've got the back almost totally taken apart. The only thing left are the computer consoles. I can tell they're not part of the same plastic as the rest of the flatbed, but I can't see how they ARE connected or anyway to take them out? I'd rather not dremel them out (want to use them for the empty space left from gutting the Rhino), anyone had any luck getting these removed?

-Thanks!

It sounds like your RHINO got stored upside down in a hot warehouse, bro. My best advise is to disassemble everything and wash it out with some dishsoap and an old toothbrush so you can get into all the nooks and crannies. Worked for mine!

If it's available to you...run it through the Dish washer in the top rack...that always cleans vehicles quite well for me.

on the ROCC the consoles are glued in...I cut the floor away get the little work station free, (i'll try ot post apic for you) you might want to consider cutting out the floor and use sheet plastic.

Also are you keeping the jet and launch scafold?

How do you get the jet out in the first place? Mine seems...attached.

DJ - the jet is on one of those new DTC weapon pegs, its a pain to pop off but it does come off. Just manhandle it a bit and it should come off.

As for the computers, yeah they are glued down so a screwdriver should pry it off. I got all but one out without damaging it. The last one snapped the top half of the console off. This kept the floor intact though.

Thanks for the suggestions, I hadn't thought of trying the dishwasher on this one just because water alone didn't seem to be doing much. Gonna give that a shot.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I haven't decided on keeping the scaffold or not, yojoe-a-go-go... I've got a couple project I think it might be useful for, and my Marvel Legends Colosus looks kinda neat holding it up over his head. You looking for more of these? I'll keep it in mind if I don't end up using it.

Screwdriver worked great on the ROCC consoles, once I got them loose enough to see how they were on there, I just pried up on the back of the "monitor" and pushed my thumb against the back to pop them right out.

Got the RHINO in the dishwasher right now.

Thanks again!
