Every Joe #100: Dr. Link Talbot

When I started this project, I knew it would be a long one. Would it have legs, or would I give up on it? There are hundreds of characters to translate into art form, but hitting the milestone of 100 is pretty satisfying.

For the 100th character, I went with the underrated the 2004 figure Dr. Link Talbot, the Joes' veterinarian/SEAL. I took the two Link figures' color sets and blended them into one, plus earthy toned accoutrements.

I like a lot about Link except his lack of a codename. Nice rendition.

hmmm maybe codename "LYNX" ties in with his job and plays on his name. maybe him and spearhead hangout and he bonded with max :)

Thanks, guys.

Hasbro fumbled the ball on the figure. He's a veterinarian/scientist, so a lab coat look would have been more appropriate.

The lack of a proper codename was an example of Hasbro's half-assing things.

The figure needed more science gear. Maybe an animal or two- and in an unexpected way. Perhaps an aquarium with molded-in/painted mice, or something like that.

Glad for this project you're doing. I am not familiar with most of these guys but thanks to you, I'm being introduced. Don't quit. Do every Joe!

That's the plan. It's taken me two years to get this far, and I've barely scratched the surface.

This will keep me busy for many years to come. This year making the artwork supplanted actual customizing as my Joe-related hobby.
