  • This section is for honest critique of the work shown here. Members are encouraged to give and accept non-confrontational constructive criticism as well as adoring praise and everything in between.
  • In order to show case everyone's work equally, please post multiple customs on the same day into a single thread. If you have a lot of pictures of your work you may have to add them to a separate post within that thread.
  • Please do not link to a sale thread or to eBay from your critique thread. This section isn't to be used to market your finished work. The Market Place section is better suited for that purpose.

I have a few of these random combined custom threads floating about, but this one is probably best for these updates.

First, I streamlined my current Ajax figure. Trimmed down the collar and added a much cleaner holster rig (via the Hiya Red Hood figure)

really spectacular! so much greatness. the smurf village really puts that set over the top. I missed the future cop writing a ticet before, that's an amazing shot w/the blue light.

How do you like the JoyToy figures for customizing? Have you had trouble with the limbs popping off? I bought a couple a while back, but I haven't messed with them too much because mine keep having their hips pop off at the slightest touch.

thanks fellas.

sgartz, I have mixed feelings. I have two other JoyToy figures (the Russian commando type), that are weird/disappointing. Small and fall apart, etc... The joints are weird on all of them, this one included. But the only one that's broken was from me trying to remove it awkwardly.

On this one I also changed out the arms for Marauder arms, and modded the shoulder to accommodate the JoyToy joint. And it's held together great. So yes, there is customizing potential. Also potential for easy swaps between JT figures.

The hips on this one aren't perfect, but with the belt I'm using, they stay pretty well in place, The belt is from Hiya Red Hood, and is one of the best accessories I've owned.
