CC13 Joeczar 2 Week Challenge Figure

After thinking long and hard about what I could do for the 2 Week Challenge, I came up with something that checks the box for the video game theme as well as where I’m currently at with my customizing.

I give you.... Pepsiman!

Pepsiman was a game for the PlayStation 1 and was exclusive to Japan. The objective was to run around collecting cans of Pepsi while avoiding obstacles.

He’s a very simple figure, which is perfect for me as I am incredibly slow. Hopefully I’ll get him done in time.

Thought for sure you'd start with a blue blank, or a blue/white combo ... but ... go on ....

I like using the figure as a blank canvas (no pun intended) and adding color as needed. I am going to lay some primer down, then use this metallic blue for the lower part of the body. What I am going to use for the silver parts are tbd.

Prime time. Bad picture, I know, but it was real cold and I was trying to move smartly through the process.

More progress through the process. Layer of blue applied and then the silver parts painted. I used the blank masked head and used contour putty to smooth over the eyes. Once it dried I sanded it down to match Pepsi Man’s smooth features. It had been primed and is awaiting silver paint.

So, he’s done, at least in the confines of the Two Week Challenge. Otherwise knowing me I’d nitpick it for months, maybe years.

Anyways, here is the star of the Pepsi Man video game. The final touches were adding a water slide decal of the Pepsi logo and a cheap piece of jewelry I bought at Walmart for his big ‘ol chain. It turned out pretty much like I planned.
