Well, sort of. I'm not one to really post WIP- leaves too much open for interpretation, so this is as unpainted as Ill show! Any way, this is a set up I've cobbled together from 3 previous builds for a fellow Hisstanker, fairly naked with only the rubberized undercoating on. Its set to be painted up by tomorrow, and if I can get it dry in time ( its pouring here) ill post finish work tomorrow evening.

Not crazy about the tower, by the by- its based on a 5-6 year old build, and just doesn't look right to me, but I was asked to build it that way, so don't judge too harshly!

Cool! Thanks for the pics. I wondered how you got the textured look. Now I know!

The undercoating is actually to seal in the texture to allow a layer for the prime coat- not to mention it's a nice black preshade. part of the reason I pre paint a base layer before posting work is that the texture layer was developed "in house" by accident and is somewhat proprietary, so I hide it ( hope I don't come off as a jerk). I do wish it was as easy as spraying it on, as the process is fairly time consuming- I have to bake each part before I can paint!

I will say though, the only reason I bought the underoating in the first place was to try it for that very purpose, with mixed results. Part of the trouble is that on its own it doesn't set up hard enough, and the texture will have a permanently malleable surface, even with paint and primer on top. Ive also tried some different caulking products, sanded grout, spackle, and even tried mixing the paint with some sand, but it was always impossible to find a balance of the right look vs. durability- durability is huge for me, considering that they ship all over the US.
