Until I find a better name ... this is the Tank that HISStress drives (I couldn't locate her to take a photograph with the tank) This was another partial custom I bought off Nick last year at AR. He had already cut out the windshield area and painted it black. I reassembled everything and added stickers to try and imitate the original HISS. One very important discovery while working on this project : I've always been stymied trying to work with clear plastics and glue. As we all know, CA or superglue will 'craze' or 'frost' styrene, acrylic, and other types of plastic. In the past, I've settled for just using dabs of Hot Glue to hold things like windshields or windows in place. !! WELL NOT ANYMORE !! Taking a page out of my own notebook, I used cut down slivers of a Glue Dot to hold the plastic in place (which was cut from a figure bubble) Being it was my first time, it was a little awkward (HEYOOO) and I got some in places where I didn't want it but it worked, and I will definitely use this process moving forward.Attachment: HISStress_01.jpg [ 75.19 KiB | Viewed 2231 times ] Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: HISS_07.jpg [ 86.42 KiB | Viewed 2231 times ] Attachment: HISS_08.jpg [ 88.86 KiB | Viewed 2231 times ] Attachment: Attachment: thoughts? |

2DARK2C wrote: soooo there is a glass ceiling for females in cobra...…….. ![]() I use to get the "frosting" on the packaging plastic until I started using the loctite gel. Regradless, I like the clear plastic on that canopy. I get the concept of internal digital screens projecting what is outside. I have a rearview camera in my car and wish there was one in the front for parking. But i think the clear "window" makes it more HISS like. I'm sure she would just be called a female HISS Driver, but for a character name I like HISStress. Although something like HERS driver would be cute too. Get it? HISS and HERS!

I use Formula 50 r/c airplane canopy glue. Incredibly strong & dries clear. Why jump on the bandwagon, when you can ride the Short Bus? |
