This is my second take on the Action Man character. I did one several years ago that looked she was starving.

This one's inspired by the original 1:6 scale figure.

low articulation figs are not by personal jam, but I do love how you make the most out of every piece of plastic in your bin. And the final looks like a production fig from another era, which I think it what you're shooting for.

Love to see the mods and WIPs

Thanks, guys!

The recipe is:

Head, chest/back, legs (to boot edge): Star Wars- Princess Leia (Jabba's captive outfit)
Hair, gunbelt: 25A Scarlett
Arms: Star Wars- Princess Leia (Ewok Village outfit)
Hands: NS Lady Jaye
Boots: Indiana Jones- Russian Soldier

The shirt (on the torso) is sculpted over the metal bikini. The arms (upper and lower) are both Ewok Party Time Leia, with Lady Jaye hands.

As far as the articulation, I work with the parts of I have. I try to get all of the juice of the lemon, so to speak. Too many Great Depression stories from my grandpa, I guess. But I do like clean lines without articulation and/or hidden articulation. And I like the inherit challenge that junk parts present.

I picked up a ton of super-cheap Captive Leia figures years ago. Slowly but surely, I'll run out of them.

Once I do I'll try out some of the super-premium figures. I'm not opposed to them at all. Looking forward to it.

In the 1970's Fisher-Price made 1:18 dollhouse figures with poseable knees that were hidden under a thin layer of vinyl "cloth". Why no companies have figured out how to pull off that trick 40 years later is beyond me. I have a few figures planned that I'll be adding articulation to, especially the knees.
