this custom has been in the works for a few years. it was a concept of mine, then a small group project, then shelved. I think I have my parts nailed down to bring it back to reality. dark jedi is the one who got me thinking about the pink foam, mucho thanks! still just parts mocked up, but I can see it!

basically a tank/hovercraft w/5 man crew. a wasteland modern post apocalypse pirate type vessel. the KOBRA TITANBOA!

here w/another mock up. if I can't score 2 more swamp boats for engines the 2nd one will be scrapped!

and w/a land vehicle or mobile base

There was a hover craft landing craft made a few years back using a noodle for the base. The pink foam looks like it will work but curious how hard it will be to shape the pink foam. Just a thought.

Looking good. If you wanted to go with foam that's already rounded instead of shaping the pink stuff, you might try some pipe insulation (or a pool noodle). You could just put a heavy gauge wire in it and bend it to shape, then glue at key points. You could even give it a coating of Plasti-dip to rubberize it.

thanks MarkM!

good ideas guys. I especially like the plasti dip suggestion. I need to find some of that then I can use a screen door for a boat :) i'm liking the rigid foam, but haven't decided on a curvy covering.

Heh I think that's flex seal you'll have to get for your screen door boat. Plastidip is the stuff old farmers keep around to dip handles of tools in to rubberize for better grip. But it's great for customising, too.

For some reason, the Heavy Gunner reminds me of something drbindy would do for snow armored Robin.

a couple non toy pieces that I have looked at for using in Hover craft customs.

Looking for a fan blade set up. This is hard plastic and battery powered. Would need to construct fins though.

Looking for a propeller for a wind boat or even a plane. I know that finding propellers can be kinda hit or miss. This one looks similar in size to the ones from the Whale.

That high density insulation foam you can carve and sand pretty easily. You can make it any shape you want really.
