Ooof, this is a hard one for me. Dusty is my favorite Joe... this is such a departure from the version I love, but it's a great design and the concept fits your world great. All loaded up, he looks perfect though, can't deny that.

Thanks guys.

DanOfTheDead, I hear ya. Dusty is one of my favorites too. He went on every mission when I was a kid. I looked at a lot of Dusty customs looking for inspiration and they were all great but too clean and too much like the original, I wanted something different. This kinda all just fell together. The Doctor head was a place holder until I started thinking about him surviving. I figure the sun, sand, radiation, chemicals, etc had to have left some scarring. Once I repainted the eyes, eyebrows, lips, and did a faint wash on it I finally had a Dusty I could see living in the desert of my post-zompoc world.

A few more things I’m working on

A Jeep. I want to get the tampo off the side and then weather it. This will be for Red and Blue.

Image

A seaplane, I’m not super happy with the paint on the white so I need to work on it more.

Image

A Wacky Racer

Image

A dive suit I’m working on, I’ve been working on, for years.

I started playing D&D on Zoom with some friends. During one adventure we were given some giant hogs as part of our payment. So, having already made my character I decided he needed a hog.

I found it on Amazon. I will be fully painting it. Adding a saddle and adding an armored head piece that we bought during a subsequent adventure. As well as several quivers of arrows. My character has a regular bow, an enchanted bow, as well as a crossbow.

I ordered a second hog which will be pulling a cart that carries the many kegs of whiskey and wine we travel with.

I also updated my character with a cloth cape so he can sit on the hog. As well as several more weapons that I’ve won, bought, or earned in game.

Here are a few WIPs

First up a driver for a vehicle I’m working on. This figure was originally going to be someone that had found parts of an old Spider-Man costume. I just couldn’t find my Spidey. Then when I did it had found its way into my Little Warriors room which means it’s now hers.

The figure has to be lean to fit into the car and has to be able to hold the starring wheel which this build can do.

Image

This next one might become another one of my Cobra Mortals. Not sure though.

Image

These next few just kinda came together by trying to use up parts.

I made some updates to my D&D figure

I was awarded the Ember Bow which is a magical bow that shoots flaming arrows.

Image

I also added a cloth cape, his crossbow, and a small dagger at the small of his back under the cape.

More good stuff.

Are you doing a black base on most of your stuff now, or are those WIPS just mostly in black to begin with?

really love crotalus. the camo is pretty great and works with all the black surprisingly well. also if that is just the corpse bike painted WoW! it looks like a million bucks!

the fire effect on the bow is slick! i want to paint the burnt up side of my vic to look like embers, but i have no idea what to start with!

Thanks.

Yeah I’ve been priming black for years now.

Thanks. Yeah it’s a Corps bike. I have a few more to paint up.

Thanks. The bow was fun to paint. I did red first. Added some orange. And finally the yellow. It’s one of the few things that came out exactly like I envisioned.
