Since the theme is video games, I will be re-imagining Super Mario Bros in a more sci fi environment. I've already got my parts ready for my Mario custom...

Solid concept! Those Scrap-Iron vests that look like overall tops would be a cool addition if you had any handy.

Started painting Mario. He still needs work on the eyes and the joints, but I am pretty happy with him so far, especially since this is my first attempt at painting eyes.

I started working on a dio as well. It's not much yet, but I have tons of ideas.

Hopefully. Have to figure out how to make them first.

I worked on one of the underground portions last night. Will update with pics soon.

actual pvc pipes and couplings would be cool. cardboard tubes from rolls of ???? could be scrounged and upcycled. anything shaped right can be primed and painted. maybe small coffee cans or plastic flower pots?

Thanks for the ideas. I think I have some PVC pipes.

Update on the dio. Finished covering everything in construction paper. Next up is working on platforms, pipes, blocks, decorations... And I have to figure out what to use for the enemies. I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow.

Finished up the dio for now, as well as mario and 2 enemies. I may improve them later, but I'm pretty happy with everything.

Mario

Piranha Plant - Sculpted with model magic air dry clay

Pipes - Made from clear green plastic cups. My found item for the challenge.

The Dio - Made from boxes, construction paper, wooden dowels/popsicle sticks and lots of glue.

the green cups are pretty genius! I like this a lot! the jagged edges in some places really give it well an "edge" to go along with the more realistic Mario! the two sculpted baddies are great too!
