The idea of this custom was much more impressive than the actual output ..

Basically I was thinking this might get used in the RAMJET SUPERMOTOENDURO, but couldn't figure out a good way to incorporate it, so I took some paint advice from pluv (the spray colors) and a couple of stickers from J_man and made it a Dreadnok SwampSpeeder.

Other than the spray paint, the big hurdle on this was to take the spatter paint off the source windshield. Nothing chemical-wise worked, so I resorted to steel wool. I scuffed the whole thing for uniformity's sake.

oh. and I used a Macross Pen to accentuate the panel lines ... :-)

It's an awesome paint job... really, really well done... I just have a hard time seeing at a dreadlock ride since it's so sleek.

I wonder what it would look like if you dropped the canopy entirely. Dreadnoks seem to be goggles instead of windshields types.

Even as is, it's a great execution of technique.

you know, that might be what's been bothering me as well ...

the underlying vehicle is very swamp-skier-ly, the canopy makes it all space-y.

i'm going to take it off and shoot some new pictures -

Looks great.

Although seeing it without the canopy might swing it either way.

It’s cool but still looks Star Wars ish. I think it could work for the Iron Grenadiers in black and red.

Does the canopy close? If so, I would like to see pics of that. I dig the design and I remember something about Dreadnoks in Space one time.

Or maybe just cut the canopy shorter and fix it permanently to the front, like a windscreen. Make it Road Pigs swamp ride since he’s too big for the Chameleon skiers the rest use.

I do think it needs a bit more ‘nokking up though. Maybe an exposed engine greeblie on the back, some guns on the front, and a little bit of dirt and rust.

Have you considered painting the canopy?
