Just as I had told many people, as soon as the BOGO 50% off sale was over, new stuff would appear on the pegs/shelves :)

Dang it...

I grabbed some neon yellow paint, paint thinner, and decal sealer at Michaels.

I’m sure I got more stuff but I’ve lost track

I received an order from Grid Iron Studios of some 6" gear for my Classified and Marvel Legends figures. I got the Alley Viper character set which includes a knife and sheath, grenade launcher w/ sling, rifle and radio. I also got a white helmet and Aliens pulse rifle to try out with my ML S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents (works great). And finally what spurred my order, a couple of the new Tactical "Fett" style helmets in blue and gray.

I have another order in process with a few more character loadout sets.

I also picked up a 2-pack from the Lightyear Alpha Series at Target. The Alpha Series are 6-7" figures from the movie with great articulation, sculpting and a few accessories. I don't know how but I've really taken to this film and I have the rest of the Alpha Series figures on order. This 2-pack features Buzz Lightyear in the orange suit with armor and Alisha Hawthorne in her military uniform. Aside from the animated style headsculpts these work well with other 6-7" figures. Buzz stands about 6 3/4" to the top of his helmet and Alisha is about 6 1/4" to the top of her hair. So more in line with Marvel Legends and Classified than Star Wars Black Series or Classified movie figures.

And I received a new bunch of Lego sets from GeeWunner. This release theme was Iron Grenadier-centric with a Razorback, Evader, and Dominator as the biggies. He doesn't release often but when he does GeeWunner comes hard with the classics.

In the Lego realm I got a new Star Wars set that I won't post the name of in case anyone hasn't seen Book of Boba Fett yet. But its cool. And I have the Lightyear Lego stuff coming later this week.

Most of you have seen it. Some of you follow it. Did you know you can own a piece of it of your own? Empire Toy Works on instagram and Facebook sells custom made toys inspired by his Rotgut Station play room. Small pieces that are hand made and reproduced in small quantities, things like cargo pods and market counters, sand huts and gun towers. He sells most of these through ebay. I have picked up a few things from him recently and this is the latest. Its a droid taxi. Made of resin and paint this chonky piece has some heft to it. The simple design reminds me of the old Fisher Price Adventure People stuff, if they made a dystopian sci-fi line. The cargo barrel and engine looking piece are removable and can be used as either cargo or dio props. A standard Star Wars 3 3/4” astromech fits in the cab nicely and the underside is detailed as well. This and his other stuff fits nicely with Acid Rain and Joy Toy styles.

I've gotten a bunch of pieces from him over the years and I'm always tempted to get more. They're so great.

Today's Kohl's (Lightyear) and DII (Jurassic World and Avengers) hauls!

The "Lightyear" set is a great buy for all that it comes with (I especially like the vines and alien bug).

The "Jurassic World" sets never showed up at brick and mortar stores in my area and online they usually go for more than I paid for them (sometimes twice as much or more).

The "Avengers" figures will make great giant Battledroid after some customization.

He makes so many great items, but they are so expensive. :( I managed to get a few computer consoles from him, but that's it so far.

First up is a Kickstarter figures (all grey) from the Heavy Water line. This was my first Kickstarter and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. First I paid for 3D print files and I couldn't find anyone to print them for months! Got them printed only to find the guy who made the files forgot to add in the freaking hinges for the elbows and knees! So....now I have to cobble those parts together myself. Probably won't be funding a Kickstarter ever again.

The next is the Manhunter Gravefrog figure. I really like this guy and would love to have a fire team of these guys. It comes with six heads, that's two copies of three different heads. One version is painted, the other is blank so you can paint your own. Saales pretty well with a normal 1:18th figure.

Next two are HIYA Toys Alien/Aliens pieces. Very nice, except Lamberts elbow and knee articulation might as well be non-existent. The elbows move maybe a nanometer while the knees can be moved only a bit further. But as always on HIYA pieces, the details are wonderful.

Where did you order your Gravefrog from? I've got a couple on pre-order from BBTS, and I can't wait to get my hands on them.

From a seller on Ebay....a U.S. seller. I got tired of waiting for other outlets to get them in and while Aliexpress has them cheap, I didn't want to wait a month...plus I'd just rather order from U.S. based sellers in general, too much can go wrong with over-seas orders.
