Ordered a physical copy and got a .pdf version as well. It's... Alright? Just kind of skimming it at this point, I'm a sucker for random tables so I wish there were more to really flesh out the character. I feel like there could be some awesome supplemental content down the line, but I just don't know how much demand for a Joe specific RPG there is. Anyone else checking it out? |

I just ordered my copy from Miniature Market, along with the Deck-Building game. Someone posted a notice they had the book for sale at $42, so that was pretty good. Hopefully there is some new artwork in the book that is interesting. https://www.miniaturemarket.com/rgs08432.html https://www.miniaturemarket.com/rgs02237.html |

28mm scale miniatures are coming for the RPG and it looks like they'll be based on the Classifed style. https://renegadegamestudios.com/g-i-joe ... res-set-1/ |

Got the hard copy, and have watched a couple videos from Renegade walking through the basics. It feels a little bare-bones to me, but it's the core rule book... I know it can't have every character and vehicle. |

Been keeping an eye out for it for a while. Hoping to give it the once over before committing. But then I heard someone at the game store got a copy and is hoping to run a campaign.... so I'm pre-emptively thinking up people. With Hasbro owning Wizards of the Coast, publishers of D&D, I'm curious as to why the RPG game is published by another company? Is there more money in licensing than actually making your own product these days? |

Is there more money in licensing than actually making your own product these days? Licensing is basically money for nothing, so long as the licensee isn't doing harm to the brand. In the long run, there could be more money in producing the game system in-house, so to speak, but it's a gamble. Before any profit is made, Hasbro would have to pay for the development, production, marketing, and distribution. And if the market isn't there for the final product, that money goes down the drain. By licensing the IP, Hasbro makes money no matter what, while the licensee assumes all the costs of getting a new product on to the market. Whether it fails or succeeds, the result is valuable market insight, and if it is successful, Hasbro can always decline to renew the license and hand it over to WotC to develop their own system, confident that there will be a market for it. |

I got my copies of the rulebook and the deck builder yesterday. Went through the whole book checking it out. I do hope future installments go into more detail about things, since I agree there was glossing over certain parts. We need a Dreadnok campaign, an Oktober Guard campaign, more vehicles and equipment campaign to start. |

So... I've been working on building my guy... picking origin, background, Role... researching Skills and allocating points accordingly to fit my build... all the fun stuff. Now, we're supposed to start out at level 6... and I've read the section on leveling up several times, but haven't found out anything on the subject. Am I just completely blind or did they forget something? |

Attachment: Especially for those of us who really don't like the Classified look. (Ok, maybe not the Jada figures since theoretically they are still in stores. I've not seen them though.) |

Ok, thanks to a belated birthday gift from a friend I now have the GI Joe Corebook, Emerald Oubliette, Transformers Corebook, Power Rangers Corebook, and the E20 merger book. Now I need to read up and get ready to run. |
