Post subject:  black major? help educate ebay seller

hey gents,
i messaged an ebay seller that i thought his snake eyes he was calling vintage was actually a black major custom.
me
"hi,
from the paint on timbers back (pattern) and the cobra emblem on SE it appears you have what is called a "black major custom" . black major is a non official company not affiliated with hasbro. he makes re issued gi joes in retro styles and many colors. some of them sell for a lot of money, but not original figures. i just wanted to let you know that it isn't vintage, but i can't seem to find the exact color black major set on ebay so it may indeed be rare."

he said
"Oh okay, I do appreciate the information on the matter. This was a figure I had found at a comic con event in a mystery bag but just curious, it does have hasbro marking on the inner thigh? So would it be licensed by hasbro as a collaboration or what?"

i don't know what to tell him about it saying hasbro. since i never handled any i have no idea, please help me help this seller get it right.

this is not mine and i have no affiliation with the seller. for education purposes only :)

I would say it is a "knock-off"
if he doesn't state this any buyer can claim he "ripped them off" and get their money back

i don't know enough about the bm/rl stuff to say if some use hasbro marked parts, but i think he gets that it isn't vintage now. weather he takes my random advise or not atleast i tried :) i'm hoping anyone laying down $200 for a figure will know that the cobra decal and striped black timber is repro!
