The Club announced that next year's membership figure will be Pythona. I'm liking this idea, especially since she's a character that most collectors have been wanting since 1987. The Club is limited in the parts they can use for their figures, usually is seems like they can get a new head and maybe a new accessory, but not bodies. What existing body parts do you think the Pythona figure will be made from? Resolute Scarlett would be my guess, it's a skin tight body and smooth without a lot of details, but a little thicker than the 25th Scarlett. Resolute Baroness would be my second guess, though there is a lot of details in that mold that would have to be accounted for, like the "webbing" on her midriff and her, uh, "cod piece" along with the details of her chest armor and the Cobra logo. I don't know if the mold can be modified at all to cover those details. They could almost tap into the Star Wars molds and get an Aurra Sing head for Pythona. How many customizers have already done that? |

I'm thinking RoC Reactive Armor Scarlett with a new Boss Fight head and fabric cape. OB |

There aren't a whole lot of options for female figures made from Joe parts. A new head sculpt is probably a given. If they want a scaly armored look, then I'd guess a mix of a ROC Scarlet RA torso and arms and maybe Resolute Baroness legs. For a softer look, it might be Kim Arishakage torso and Renegades Scarlet arms again with Baroness legs. Or maybe a mix of Renegades Scarlet thighs with Baroness boots or ROC Cover Girl boots. If they want to totally replicate the animated characters skintight suit look, maybe they could borrow a Hasbro Marvel Universe female buck. |

I'm almost willing to bet money it'll be the retired first female MU buck. Everyone would hate anything Joe-based too much. On the other hand, this is the Joe Club we're talking about. |

I wish this was going to be a traditional-style figure, but I know that's impossible. I'm just glad we're finally getting Pythona at all. Since we now have Kwinn, Big Lob, and the Oktober Guard, and even Billy in the works, this pretty well wraps up the "Preposterously Long Overdue for a Figure" list. |

I posted the same question on FaceBook and the Marvel buck was brought up, mainly, even though it's still Hasbro, would the Club have access to that mold? Someone also suggester Zarana's lower torso, which is a bare midriff, and using it in conjunction with an upper torso of Resolute Scarlett or Resolute Baroness. Reactive Armor Scarlett might be another option. Yeah, she'd be armor plated instead of looking like a body suit, but it would be a consistent all over look. |

Whether the Club could use the MU buck is simply a matter of talking to whoever at Marvel would give the go-ahead. I'm pretty sure the Club know a guy at Hasbro that could give them that Marvel guy's name and number. The key is that the buck has no Marvel-specific features, so there's no real licensing issue at had like there would/could be if they were asking to use the initial Spidey buck with the sculpted web lines. Really and truly, it's a matter of whether the Club is willing to pay for enough hookers and blow to get the Marvel guy in a good mood, lol. |

I'd almost be willing to pay for hookers and blow for the Marvel guy to say "no." That Marvel female buck is bad, just bad. |

The idea of RA Scarlett and Baroness legs with new head, hands, and possibly feet would be a decent build, and within the Club's budget, maybe. The problem is using parts that were technically under Paramount license. For the record, I also thought MU female buck with some crazy paint apps, but I think Marvel licensing would restrict that. |

They wouldn't use the 1st MU female buck. That is retired. Instead they could use the 2nd MU buck (X-23 etc). |

It's because it's retired that it has a greater likelihood of being used, imho. All retired means is 'no longer used for production', not 'melted down into slag'. Because the new buck is in production, is why it can't be taken out of the production schedule for a non-Marvel figure (assuming it is still in production, of course; considering the shift to no-ticulation in the MU line, it may be that both have been retired now). |

Nope Emma Frost will be using it. Are you sure the 1st isn't melted down? I mean it has been a long time since any figure was made from it. |

Why not that Star Wars head that everyone uses for her head in customs? |
