Hit & Run is listed as infantry and mountaineering specialist. Would it fit for him to be a sniper? I think with his ability to climb and get to hidden and remote locations, he would be ideal for the role. Is there any reason why that would not work?

Good question. I always saw Hit n Run as a recon specialist. Someone who could quickly get to point A, get a lay of the land, and get out again. A sniper is a little more stationary, imo.

Ive also used him as a guy that paints targets for airstrikes.

10th Mountain Division has been a pretty historic group for the US Military. They took on the light infantry duties in the mid 80's to be a more mobile unit. I think it was the book Black Hawk Down that described it as the pathway to Army Special Forces.

As for the character, my view lines up with Killy's, a quick hitter or fades into the shadows. A light weight boxer, jab and move, jab and move. Keep the enemies on their toes. I use to team him up with Shockwave just because of their names, but I also saw Shockwave using his SWAT background as more brute force and overwhelm. The knock out punch if you will of the tandem.

Thats a good idea. What does the device that is used for that purpose look like? or what is it called so I can google it?

Thanks pluv. Starting to get a feel for where I want to go with this custom.

I agree with Kilcarr and Wowboy's assessment.

Hit & Run is one of the fastest guys on the team. Given his background, he is good at what he does. Get there, recon, get out.

It all just depends on which aspect you're focusing on. As a mountaineer, sniper fits really well. E.g. in the hilly/mountainous terrain of Afghanistan, snipers have played a really imp't role (including setting some new records for longest kills!).

But if you focus more on the "running" part of his filecard, then what others are saying about him "hitting" quick and "running" (should we call him Hit 'n Run? ;) ) makes sense.

Honestly, I always felt it was a weird filecard for somebody who loved running to do mountaineering. The one time I got to do that in the French Alps, running was certainly the last thing on my mind, all geared up and hugging a rock face.

I was really itching to do a sniper set-up, but it just isn't fitting his character as you point out. On the bright side this gives me an excuse to do a desert Low-Light custom. My list just gets longer every day.

Desert Low-Light, or new character?

I was thinking desert Low-Light. I don't remember seeing him in desert gear. It has probably been done before though.

The only recent movie I remember one is Battle Los Angeles.

I think some BBI guys came with one back in the day. I'll try and scrounge one up. Even if you can't find one, I'm sure you could throw something together that would pass for one, and likely make it to work with the rest of Hit N Run's gear much better.

Thanks Wowboy. If you find one I will trade you something for it. I was planning on piecing something together, but if one exists that I could just tweak a little, so much the better.
