Picked this up with my pulls yesterday and I have to say I'm intrigued. There definitely wasn't much story in the few pages of this $.99 book but what was there was good enough to get me to take a look when the series starts. I would have preferred a full 22 pages of story rather than the 8 or so pages and the rest filled out with concept cover art and layouts. But for a buck I can't really complain. It got me wanting to see more and that's the whole point of these cheap zero issues, right?

I created a pull pile at my local comic shop, first time I have been in a comic shop in almost a decade. I will probably wait unitl all the issues are out and get them all and read them in one sitting.

Glad to hear it is off to a good start.

I was pleasantly surprised with the #0 issue of the CORPS! myself (which is even more of a surprise when you consider the joe comic didnt really do much for me). There was just enough action, double crossing and reference to the previous corny Corps! characters to whet my appetite for more.

Not a bad start at all..

I picked it up ant thought it was pretty good. Hopefully it won't tank after the first couple of issues.

Its a 6 issue miniseries but I'm not sure if that includes #0 or not. I'm hoping it does well enough to warrant an ongoing series.

Went to the comic shop to check my pull file after a couple of months, and lo and behold....no Corps Issue #1.

So, they published #0 back in December, and have yet to put out #1.

Comic Book Guy (owner) is going to check for me, but it does not look hopeful, running 4 months late.

Has naybody else found any issues besides #0?

I'll have to try to get this. I've always had a soft spot for The Corps (especially after learning that MO is the home base for the importation), so this could be good.

I believe it's on "hiatus" at DDP. They put out the #0 issue as a teaser and were planning on starting the series a few months later but due to some financial restructuring they've put several titles on hold. Just until they get their stuff straight. At least I hope so. This series has awesome potential. Josh Blaylock finally has some army figures he can play with and no one will get pissy about what he does with them like what happened with G.I. Joe. I was really looking forward to the series myself.

This is what I agree with. The Corps could have an awesome story, whereas GI Joe is already established. This could be Blaylock's chance to be a modern Hama, if they let him have this book. I mean, he did some good stuff with GI Joe, it just wasn't "GI Joe".

Thank you! I was sort of wondering what had happened to it. I found issue #0 to be enjoyable if not spectacular (sort of like the Corps itself... :-D  ), but I had noticed that the title hadn't turned up in the Westfield Comics catalog which I order from monthly since that time.

I read an article concerning the Corps! comic in which someone working on the book (can't remember if it was Blaylock) was being interviewed. If I remember, some people at Lanard didn't like how the "good guy" Corps! characters were being portrayed. I'm not saying this has anything to do with the delay, I just found it interesting. I've not read the book, but it's a bit odd how the Corps! now have a story. For so long they've always been a blank slate that you could fill with you own story line. I'll miss their genericness to a degree.
