Thanks to all the JC staff for Your Toyfair presence and hard work this weekend. Great coverage.
I will preface my comments by saying that I usually look at new product as a customizer first and a collector second.
Looking at these, I feel like I went to bed and woke up in 1997: small line, 2-packs, 3-packs, redecos of older molds, TRU exclusives, there are so many parallels to be drawn, it is not funny. If that sounds like a complaint, it is not. There are a bunch of interesting figures in this line. I'm guessing that these pics were probably taken hastily and that most of these figures will change quite a bit before they are released. We will probably see the difference at Joecon.
Speaking as a collector, Leatherneck, Lady Jaye, Destro, HEAT Viper and a few others will go straight into my display shelves and I'm glad we are getting these.
Speaking as a customizer, I'm glad to have access to some harder-to-find tooling. PoC Hawk, Lowlight, PoC Snowjob and Night-Viper are all currently pretty expensive figures, so breaking them up for parts is hard. Now that they will be available again, it will be easier access to their parts.
I do have questions and concerns. Since these are TRU exclusives, how available will they be? Will they be available in Canada? Is the tan VAMP really an SDCC exclusive? How much will these change between now and release time? Since these answer will come in the next few months, I'm not sweating the answers just yet. Right now, I'm just enjoying the fact that we are getting new Joes at all.

P.S. I would have loved if Hasbro would have done an Action 4-pack for the anniversary, similar to what they did for the 30th. I'm not sure it would have been popular at retail, but etailers could have picked it up maybe?
P.P.S. Hi JoeMichaels!
