Man, now I want that temple set, too. Especially since it's loaded with monkeys in various action poses. I'm a sucker for little scene details like that.

Maybe it's time adventure team came back with the popularity of outdoor activities. An adventure team movie might be cool with some exploring elements and some extreme sports elements.

That'd be great, but people would think it was a rip-off of Indiana Jones, I'm afraid. Thing is, it'd be perfect for Stephen Sommers, but I don't see him doing it.

Wait... Chap Mei and Lanard are making the most exciting Joe-style products.

Did we slip into a parallel universe, did someone rewrite our timeline or something...?

As interested as I am in these offerings, I'm kind of terrified of what's behind these developments on a cosmic level.

Oh man, I didn't see the monkeys. Dammit.

Yup, it's all about the monkeys. Monkeys everywhere. The set itself is secondary to the monkeys.

Oh man, giant scorpions as well? Damn, damn, damn.

(puts down Witcher 3 custom WIP's and gets Xen'drik Drow elf box out for sorting)

The ruins play set screams. I could see my newest Lara Croft standing amongst the monkeys.

Damn, damn, damn.
(reconsiders delving back into modern customs to make adventuring treasure and relic hunters)

More spiders? And newborn spiders too?
(puts down medusa temple shoebox diorama and pulls out Underdark WIP box diorama)

Saw everything but the Mayan Temple set at the 3 different TRUs I hit today. Luckily J_Man pointed out to me that the temples were back in stock online, so I was able to grab one.

The Hammer-Dolph sub is bigger than expected in-person. As-is the Squid - I was thinking it was a repaint of the older squid, but it's all-new with light-up eyes. You could probably put 2 Joes side-by-side in the sub cockpit.

Very cool.

Saw the Sub, the Temple, Bigfoot, Yeti, giant spider, bridge-layer and Hovercraft today. MAN it's hard to to wait for a BOGO sale!!!

BTW, the Temple set I saw came with a white figure and a black figure, not two white figures like the picture. And I didn't see it mentioned, but the giant snake has two heads.

I've been to three TRUs in the past week. None of them have any of this stuff. This area is terrible when it comes to any store stocking anything.

Saw one each of the bigfoot and yeti. Almost bought the yeti but the seam was splitting in the package like it was about to fall apart. Still carried it around the store with me since it was the only one. They had the sub and the hovercraft, but no bridgelayer or temple playset.

Went to my local Toysrus today and saw all these wonderful sets. The boxes are so massive, they had a stand with three shelves, each one with a different set. There was the upgraded rocket hauler with multiple rockets. The submarine and the C130. On the opposite stand they had the bridge layer tank, the helicopter with landing pad, and on the highest shelf the hovercraft. I couldn't reach it, I felt like I was dreaming, could a toy company actually dare to make such massive vehicles?? It's like 1980s all over again when you would see massively scaled vehicles and play sets of GI JOE like rolling thunder, headquarters, terror drome.

Took a trip to TRU before the usual running around and saw all the sets save the temple of course. Had a gift card I was holding for a Funko Ruby Rod, but sprung for the scorpion pack. Love the clacking claw feature. Definitely worth it, just have to drybush them with a tiny bit of metallic gunmetal grey.

Sorry Ruby.

The squid was bigger than I thought. And the sub cockpit is pretty spacious - but only really fits a single Joe. If the canopy wasn't so curved at the top, you could easily sit two in there comfortably.

Chief what are you doing, you know there is a warning about getting Gizmo wet.

I like the sub. If I could quit breaking things maybe I could go back to supporting my hobby. My daughter told me I was the reason we couldn't have nice things...lol
