Man, applying a Playmobil business model to some great articulation 4 inch figures would be like a dream come true.

I'm going to agree with the TMNT approach using the Adventure Team format. I just got done putting together my son's Turtle Sewer playset and the nostalgia set in right away. The details on that playset were spectacular. The tire for the tire swing had stamped writing associated with the theme, the manhole cover was detailed, the features such as binoculars that act as a periscope in the street level dumpster are awesome. There is a sewer grate leading into the lair. A zip line for the turtles to use and a Shredder dummy for training. Amazing playset for the price and I didn't think it would be so fun. I also got him the TMNT Shellraiser and again, a major win for that toy line.

Hasbro might have to move to a 5 inch format but I think it's time to rethink the brand and take into account what kids really like. As Bindy demonstrated, TMNT is flying off the shelves. Adventure Team could also keep the line pc enough so that those against the war aspect can buy into it.

I think the club can cover what us 30, 40 and 50 year olds are into. Besides, I enjoy my figures showing up at my doorstep and not having to hunt. Probably time to let the line "move on" and appeal to the youngsters. I think we have a generous amount of figures to choose from or create what we need.

I don't think it's the scale of the TMNT that makes the difference so much as the fun factor and the multiple-platform marketing. I think that Joe's can still be done in our scale and appeal to both groups, if the other parts of the approach were modeled correctly.

Indeed, Joe doesn't need to change size to be successful.
History has shown that when the brand changes its size, it's usually a mistake with the exception of ARAH.
Look at how popular and long lasting Super Joe, GI Joe Extreme and Sigma Six were... :shifty:

Hence the word "might" in my statement. Going off of what my kid gravitates towards, it was a suggestion. Thinking about it, tmnt has several different sized versions of the core characters. Obviously they have it figured out.
