I'd check that carefully if I were you. Looking at the pictures on YoJoe, the SMS didn't have a red canopy. It's possible the previous owner swapped the original out for the red one (which it seems only the Crimson Sabotage HISS had), but I would check the dates to be sure. This could easily have been another Crimson HISS with the Wal-Mart exclusive HMS that came out during RoC. I'm not saying the seller was trying to deceive you. It's still a great deal regardless. Getting the HMS alone could've cost you $50 on eBay at this point.

The Canopy on the SMS is generally a clear or light yellow...and can easily look red depending on the angle at which it's photo is taken.... There are differences between the OCS and SMS canopies beyond just the color.

That's a vintage SMS. It's a yellowed canopy.

If you want, but I'll take your word for it. It's probably just the angle and lighting of the photo. Like I said, either way it's a great deal. It being the vintage one just makes it that much better.

Here's my finds from last Saturday at the flea market.

Image

All the figures were .50-1.00 from various venders. The stinger cost me 12$ though from one vendor who is more of a dealer Interesting note on the stinger, you can see it has a bunch of details painted in pretty nicely. I've bought several vehicles and figures form this vendor over the past year or so and they are all painted the same way. Turns out this stinger is labeled. "Bryan Sampieri" He took really good care of his gijoes. Cheers.

Also who is the guy in the last row on the right? 1986 Tonka markings.

Next up is my score from craigslist from last week. I'm just going through the gijoes now, but here are the transformers side of it. The transformers set me back 50$ which is more than I usually spend on non gijoe items. They are also a bit dusty/basementy blah.

First up is the case and an old dinner tray...ok whatever.

Soundwave seems to be in pretty good shape. No laserbeak though :/

Minibots in good shape except for some stress marks on powerglide.

I'm not sure who these guys are. Any info?

They're Convertors, a surprisingly enjoyable and diverse series of imported Japanese transforming toys that Select did in the 80s to cash in on the Transformers craze.
You can read more about them here:

He's from those Steel Crushers Tonka put out those construction vehicles painted up like they was from Mad Max movies.

Here's some updates, been busy the past few weeks.

First up are the figures from a gijoe lot for 100$. There are plenty of vehicles that I'm working on photographing. They are from the same craigslist seller as the transformers..where they smell really basementy and I stepped in dog doo en route to put them in my car.

Some nice troop builders though

Next up are my finds from the NJ collectors con a few weeks bag. I got a great deal on Thundercracker. Cheers.

Nice fun skool stuff. I've ran into one time during my picking. It was a repaint of crazy legs, can't remember his name off the top of my head. Sweet looks like you got a couple of 82 troopers , and static line. nice haul bud.
