Really impressed with the figures and glad I took part in the kickstarter.

My first order of figures should be here by Friday, looking forward to checking them out in person.

My sons and I are also going through Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 and comparing outfits and equipment with the stuff that Marauder has available. We are building our characters in the game, and going to place an order through Marauder for the parts we need to physically make them. SOOOOOO much fun. Expensive, but fun.

I haven't really been keeping up too well, but are there weapons that Marauder has discontinued?
I can't find the Mac10, Uzi, or MP7 on their website at all anymore. Or is the missing stuff just temporarily out of stock? I also see that there are no IDS stands listed at all, and no green or grey MTF figures either.

I thought that they made a Glock of some sort, too. G18 maybe.
Also did they ever make a SIG552? I know they have the SIG550 on there, but I swore they made the carbine length 552 as well (I could very well be wrong about this one).

Rainbox Six - great idea! Love the customizing option in both virtual and real life coming together :)

Missing items - Prob just out of stock and will re-stock if demand. A number of items have gone out of stock and then reappeared over the years. Those are guns are classics that I bet will get restocked at some point - just shoot them an e-mail! IDS stands same thing for sure - he's restocked them a few times already. And the MTF figures are apparently selling through quickly - but from what I've heard they do have a plan to restock at some point.

Glock - yes, Marauder made the original plus the G18 w/extended mag.

SIG - I'm 99% sure it was only ever the SIG550. Though honestly I think the proportions are more like a SIG551. But no SIG552 that I'm aware of.

I've been wanting to pick up more G-18s since that wave released. I've not seen it restocked in forever--maybe since it was initially released. At this point I'd be surprised if it ever showed up on the site again.

I haven't. I figure there's a perfectly solid reason they're not on the site and that knowing that reason won't change anything. So, I just decided not to bother them. I check every time I place an order, though, just to make sure they haven't shown up.

I lost my Adventure Man's fishing boonie hat while he was adventuring on vacation. Decided to order him another one and a few other accessories I wish I'd gotten more of. They are backed up, but considering how long the original wait was I'm sure it won't be too long before it shows up.

Got my first set of figures the other day!

Went with a Colonial Marine type set-up for my first couple of guys.
VERY pleased with them.

Modified the helmets a bit, used some Marauder shotgun ammo strips for grenades on their webgear, and modified the way I attached their shoulder armor. They won't be replacing my Hot Toys Marines, but I am very happy with them.

This is one of two kick starter campaigns I've been comfortable backing, and the only toy related one. I've been so pleased with what I got and wish I could have gone bigger. The figures are fantastic, as is the gear.

Nicely done.

It took a week for my order I put in through the site the previous Saturday to show up, so not that long of a wait at all really. i really like these hats.

A couple quick figures. My original Kickstarter figure is the Gray Urban Ops. I ordered the rest last week along with a bunch of gear.

Decided to try to replicate some of my favorite Cobra Troops - the original blueshirt, Viper, and Snow Serpent. All MJ parts except the Viper head - thats a Cobra Commander noggin. Unfortunately the goggles don't fit over helmets so I had to skip them.

Also made a Red Shadow and some generic soldiers.

So take what I say here with a grain of salt because I think I've come down with a sad case of the Sputniks. So I may sound more negative than I intend.

I also have an affliction known as customizing, and the cure requires that I modify toys by a certain percentage before I can comfortably take possession of them. It's a bad affliction to have, though kilcarr assures me it can be treated with dry air, and has tried to get me shack up with him at his place out in the dustbowl. (But I think he may be confusing the condition with tuberculosis, and that he might simply want to make me his personal customizing monkey).

In any event, I say that in order to say this. Until very recently Ive just not done much with my Marauder figures. It's not that they are poorly made. They're actually pretty great. And I think they are perfect for converting to some of the troops that everyone has been showing off. It's just I've been kind of bored with those options.

Swapping out the gear doesn't really scratch my customizing itch. And in a hobby where I spend most of my time trying to turn unwanted Joes and Cobras into something else, taking a different toy and turning it back into a Joe or Cobra makes about as much sense to me (for my personal tastes) as making Joes out of origami.

So I've been stumped on what to do. But I think I've finally found some inspiration. First, I had to realize that these aren't going to be troopers for me. So, my first breakthrough, shinguards notwithstanding was to make a crew of flight deck/mechanics/maintenance people who can fill in the background of a variety of scenes. Add pouches, paint the pockets, swap on diverse heads, and now I have something I can use...

The other thing I want to do is mash up some parts and see about making some individual adventurers. I kind of like the challenge of making something seem unique in a sea of similar looking figures. This is where I'm starting with that.

So anyway, starting to have fun with them. Just thought I'd share that there is more to do than just army build
