Yeahh, LN is too big. I could see an argument for a Gung Ho or even Rock and Roll at this size, but Leatherneck was never portrayed as an ox. He was the experiencedn battle-hardened vet.

I've got right-sizing him on my to-do listn but it's a low priority.

Just picked up a couple of the Lady Jaye/Baroness and Arctic BAT/SJ packs. I think the Arctic Bat is now my favorite version of the BAT.

I saw the wave 2 50th Anniversary 2-packs at the Maplewood, MN Toys R Us. Passed.

That's good to hear, slim19722. The B.A.T. is the one I'm most interested in.

Saw wave two in Altoona. The scalpers that work there had taken the BAT packs and the Baroness packs that didn't have terrible paint. The one LJ was missing paint apps on her torso--her skin was painted green like her shirt, so watch out for that one.

Got my wave one stuff from BBTS today. Cursory glance, they look good. Leatherneck actually looks like one of the best examples I've seen, but who knows how the back of him faired in that department. Didn't really look too closely at Hawk and the other reissues, though.

Well, heck. Checked the TRU near me. Plenty of Wave 1 -- especially the Blowtorch/HEAT-Viper set -- no Wave 2.

And I had a $5.00 coupon, too. Fortunately, it's good until the 15th, so I'll keep checking.

But I was really hoping to get that B.A.T.

3packs are stuffed to capacity on two pegs with extras piled up on shelf below those. There are 14 sets of Btorch vs Heat Viper hanging on top peg. And the camo Docks set numbers almost a dozen and there's four of the Below Zero sets.

The initial 50th Joes are way more plentiful than I expected. Likely though the wave 2 sets won't show up there because the w1 surplus.

While tempting to get the new 2-packs from TRU there are a few obstacles I can't overcome. First, the price is more than I'm paying BBTS. Second, there is a limit of 2. Third with tax and shipping I'm still coming out ahead with my BBTS preorders.

If TRU online had the Leatherneck set, I'd get a set of these too. Because my local TRU doesn't have them.

Visited both Tucson TRU's yesterday. Struck out on the B.A.T. set.

Now let me ask -- is the Blowtorch/HEAT-Viper set the most despised item in this collection? I can understand people not being interested in Blowtorch, since he's been done before, but the HEAT-Viper is a new figure, and I don't think he's THAT bad. And technically, he is an army-builder.

But at one TRU, there were eight of that two-pack, and no other two-packs at all. At the other TRU, they had nine of they two-pack, and two Low-Light/Night-Viper sets.

Which means that either -- somebody else beat me to the BAT, or possibly there just wasn't ROOM to bring out any more Wave 2 packs because of all the Blowtorch/HEAT-Viper sets. Either way, I left rather annoyed.

Yeah, if you haven't seen Lady Jaye vs Baroness or Snow Job vs Arctic BAT it means wave 2 hasn't reached you yet.

People don't want to army build Heat Vipers at the expense of having to army build Blowtorch too. And consequently that set will be pegwarming long after the 50th line is done shipping and everything else is sold out. Like RET w1 SW and RB are still hanging there too, ugh.

Yeah, Blowtorch was a really dumb decision. I've said it before, but that was the perfect opportunity to make the green/brown decoed version they mentioned years ago. Three of that set have sat at my TRU for what feels like months already.
