I wonder about the O ring myself. also I was surprised they did straight arms, why not include broken thumbs. but in the end like with the star wars figures im just not buying them because of price. but if they do dreadnoks I would buy just them.

I'll probably get Rock and Roll, because he was my first Joe and something about a giant-sized version of him just really appeals to me. I may get Stalker, too. Would I want a whole series of them? No. But just to get a couple to be displayed with my 'non-figure' stuff like lunchboxes is perfect.

I overheard one of the Gentle Giant guys talking about these and they WILL have O-rings which surprised the hell out of me. I can't imagine the torque that will be needed to stretch an O-ring enough to hold the legs tight. Also they are going to come in blister packaging just like the original ARAH figures similar to how they package their 12" Star Wars figures. Look for the price to be around $80 also similar to the SW Jumbo figures. And there is a possibility of a SDCC exclusive next year but no firm details on that at this time.

Rock n roll, Stalker, Grunt and Breaker will be mine. I may get Flash.

I doubt I would want Snake Eyes or Scarlett. Zap and Short Fuze's figures never did much for me even as a kid. Not much interest in the Cobras.

Mysterious did they say anything about swivel arms in the future?

Rock n' Roll is definitely the one I'd want.

Nope. I think these will be just like the Star Wars Jumbo figures which are based on the first iteration of the Star Wars line. Since the swivel arm didn't show up in those first figures I don't think they are planning to do them.

I think I also heard something about them doing all of the Original 13 but it was an overheard conversation and the floor was pretty loud so I could have heard wrong.

I really love this idea and will buy a few at first while knowing I will probably quickly hit the slippery slope and buy them all.

The only real concern I have are the thumbs. Yes, the originals broke easily but that was largely due to the type of plastic used. These seem to have really weird right thumbs. It just looks so odd that it takes away from it for me. I know I am going to stare at it every time I see it.

I gotta get Grunt. Anyone else realize immediately that the size of this toy is in scale to us as adults as these were to us in 1982? I was 4, so this is pretty dead on to the size they looked to me as a little kid.

Even if I had the $$$, the lack of swivel arm kills it for me. If they ever get into the second year, I'd have to give some thought to Destro. Since he was slightly larger to begin with, he'd be -- what -- 13-14"?
