I wouldn't mind having modern versions of the original and of the 1997 Bronze Bomber characters if Boss Fight were involved. Assuming the 97 figures were all produced, it would be funny if we got a better Motor-Viper out of that line than we did in the official Joe line.

Could the Bronze Bombers be done as part of a Con Set these days?

That's a good question. I have no idea who has the rights these days, if anyone, considering Olmec doesn't exist any more.

Looks like they're taking a similar tack to Joe and HACKS, reusing as much tooling as possible and designing with that in mind. It definitely makes sense for a smaller line like this, I just hope we see investment in unique parts where its prudent. This does look great though, and it has some part of me hoping that Joe does take a break so I can go all-in on these.

I greatly enjoyed that 1997 set. The four bad guys -- I came up with alternate code-names for them and made them Cobra trooper divisions.

It likely belongs to their creditors, though it may have expired due to disuse. Olmec is one of those awesome stories complete with a full warehouse full of toys that was abandoned and would have a huge secondary market today.

It'd be interested to track it down. I'll see if I can do a search tomorrow.

And I'm still wondering why nobody at Hasbro realized that there is still great potential in GI Joe and similar lines as long as the product reaches the customers...

Back on topic, that Commando looks pretty cool. Bring on Savitar!
