i recall some one cranking out reproduction heavy metal mics and there being a great uproar over it... seems like times have changed.

I think the uproar was because some people were selling repros or selling complete figures with repro parts and wording it as original. That way someone could charge a higher price for essentially fake stuff.

I think there is an obligation if selling a complete figure to state it has repro parts and what they are.

No. He's right. Times have changed, and that's all there is too it. You know no one is going to specify if they are using repro parts in their sales.

I've never understood the outrage. If a piece of plastic is the same color and quality as the original, why would I care what year it was made?

I agree with you darko, if I have a heavy metal with a nice green mic I don't care if it came from the 80's nor do I care if my hiss drivers nice mint chest emblem is due to someone slapping a repro front torso on him. However, there are many collectors that want authentic product, and well that is right out at this point.

I've noticed that on some of the Facebook Joe things... Someone was searching for the dome for the Hammerhead driver and I showed him the link with the dome on it and he said.. but its a repro and people will be pissed cause its not original.. I said just state its repro if they don't like it don't bid..

No. Time has come to a complete halt and nothing will ever change again. We must rally the pitchforks and burn these repro making heretics.

The HISS Driver one looks better. Looks like he got too much bleed through on the Officer one.

He already sells a complete repro Viper pilot, so he has the tooling but not sure he'd split it up for just a chest.
