Design:

Having an extra Cobra Bazooka Soldier body, I wanted to make use of it without doing any painting.

The lighter shade of blue seemed less field-ready than the dark blue of the officer/soldier uniforms, so a more specialized specialty was needed.

With the addition of the harness, it reminded me of Scarface. With the addition of the Fred head, it looked like a new character.

The Firefly gloves are just slightly different enough from the original hands to slightly change the appearance of the body.

Colors/paints:

To alter the appearance of the Fred head, I went with a light brown color for the flesh tone. Sadly, it was too orange and looked like a man made of honey mustard sauce, so a dark brown wash pulled the color back into a more realistic color scheme.

Sculpting/modifying:

The neck post was whittled down to accommodate the head.
